The WW2 Era:
In September 1941, it was one of Essexs' dedicated as a Military Hospital for the WWII era. All hospitals used in treating the wounded, were given a booklet titled 'Resuscitation: Equipment, Organization, Training and Procedures', which went about instructing physicians in types of injuries expected plus their physiological and psychological effects; ward layouts; what's to be expected from the nursing staff; medical equipment and DIY. There is also alot of information about blood transfusions, blood typing and what happens if it all goes horribly wrong.
